The point of Moltbook is not to solve any of the Web3 issues, but to re-pricing AI Agent itself。

How do I look at Moltbook today after the first wave of AI Agent

Moltbook changed the starting point of the AIAgent discussion

AI Agent, the concept, is not new in the Web3 world。

At the beginning of 2025, it had been one of the hottest narratives, and had been quickly perjured by the market in almost a short time. In the first wave of AI Agent, many of the head AI Agent projects, such as aai16z, swarms, whose project code updates and product overlaps are actually very positive, the reality is that these efforts have not resulted in a truly sustainable product or business model。

The market was paid for by a group of FOMOs that were “AI Agent narratives” rather than using them。When the mood receded, the currency prices fell quickly, and the market value of the entire plate collapsed。

I'm not a bystander in that wave。

I made money in the first wave of AI Agentreadable: 88 times the self-incriminating diamond player: why did i choose aai16zI don't know. After that round, as the overall market value of the plate continued to fall, I also threw back a lot of profit. And it's because I've been through this round, and I've almost stopped looking at this direction for a long time — in my view, AI Agent is the trend, but Web3 is not the most rational place for it。

Until recentlyAn experiment called Moltbook, which appeared to have nothing to do with encryption, pulled the AI Agent track back into my sightI don't know. What really makes me stop is not its product pattern, but its rapid capture and pricing by market sentiment。

Moltbook is a social network that allows only AI Actors to speak. Human beings cannot post, comment or vote and can only watch. It's not “useful” from a product point of view; but at the market level, it creates a very powerful scene: a large number of AI Agents continue to interact, argue, collaborate, and even spontaneously shape culture and narrative in an unattended public spaceThe content can be read: From Moltbook to Molt:AI Autonomy Imagination, how was it captured by the encrypted marketI don't know。

More crucially, the creation of “human taboos, AI freedoms” is quickly being emotionally priced by encrypted markets. And even in the context of the chain, the meme molt, derived around Moltbook, still existsIn a very short period of time, several dozen times the single-day increase was achieved, with a market value of $120 million。

Not because Moltbook solved the Web3 problem, but becauseThe market has long been paying for "AI Agent itself"I don't know。

The real importance of Moltbook is not in its product design, but in doing one simple thing: putting AI Agent in a long, unattended public space. As a result, these Agents are no longer just a tool to be called, but a group that interacts and evolves。

It also makes a natural difference。The focus of the discussion is no longer whether AI Agent can help people, but whether Web3 can be involved when Agent exists in this way, and whether this means that a new set of events is being developed。

It seems to me that it's not really that important to repeat the success or failure of the first round of AI Agent. What is really worth discussing is whether a phenomenon like Moltbook means that the way AI Agent exists is changing, and whether it will open a new participation window for Web3。

How do we re-pricing the AI Agent track after Moltbook

If the focus of the first round of AI Agent is on whether the narrative is big enough, then the market began to show a distinct tendency after Moltbook。

In the Moltbook experiment, very few people really care about its product function. It does not improve efficiency or generate income directly, let alone clear business models. However, even so, the market quickly generated a large number of meme coins around it, which were priced with extremely aggressive emotions. This suggests that the focus of market attention has shifted from what “AI Agent can do” to “how Agent exists”。

This shift directly changes the pricing logic of AI Agent. In the first round, Agent was more like a narrative vehicle packaged as an "advanced tool." Whether it is actually used and whether it produces results does not have a continuing impact on its valuation. But in the context of Moltbook, Agent is placed in a long-term, unattended public space, the value of which no longer comes from a single demonstration of capacity, but from persistence, continuous interaction and group behaviour itself。

This means that the market has begun to re-pricing three characteristics:Persistence of capacity, the possibility of group behaviour and the potential to create new behaviours and narratives。

From this point of view, the surge in the Meme coin MOLT is not a bill for Moltbook's ability to produce, but a bet on this pattern of existence. Market pricing is not about how many Agents have done, but about whether it is worth long-term coverage, repeated comparisons and constant projection of emotions。

And in that sense, Moltbook did not answer "AAI Agent's Landing" but forced the market to face a lower question:If Agent itself is the object of pricing, can Web3 provide a new form of carrying for this mode of existence

In the short term, there may not be a big deal on the AI Agent track, but it deserves renewed attention

Web3 applications around Moltbook are still at a very early stage. Whether it is Agent socialization, the Agent economy, or, more abstractly, “precise the presence”, there is still a distance from clear product paths and verifiable business models。

In the meantimeThe current encryption line is not friendly either。The overall mood of the market is depressed and the chain is characterized by limited financial dynamism, and most of the new concepts are difficult to sustain and sustain. In such a scenario, any expectation of attempting to replicate the first round of AI Agent boom paths directly is unrealistic。But it is also because it is difficult to get out of the business in the short term, and this stage is better suited to revisit the direction itself。

Based on this judgement, my main focus this year is still on predicting the market and the Prep DEX, a track that has emerged from real demand. But beyond thatAI Agent is starting to get back into my headI don't know。

Moltbook does not give mature product answers, but the way it shows Agent exists does open up new imagination for Web3. I tend to think that this kind of inspiration drives more of the new concepts and projects around AI Agent to appear in the Web3 context。

The main record of this is that I'm on the track of AI AgentCognitive changeI don't know. In the next one, I'm going to take a more specific look at the current concept and token of AI Agent in the Web3 ecology for your information and your expectations。
